A letter is sent out for Chanuka and after the Memorial Evening to all friends of the Etta Kossowsky Fund and to those participating in the learning informing them of the recent activities of the Etta Kossowsky Fund.


Chamber Music Concerts 5768 2007/8

March 29th 2008 marked the end of this year's season of Chamber Music Concerts. As in previous years, the season began after Sukkot and ended just before Pesach. This gave us six monthly concerts. Among the performances we had the pleasure of hearing were trios by Schubert and Arensky, quartets by Haydn, Mozart and Brahms; we heard a flute Sonata composed by King Frederick the Great, a solo Violin Partita by Bach; we had an evening of baroque music by a string trio and most of an evening of music for violin specially transposed for flute by Dvorak, Tchaikovsky and Grieg.

Local families in Bet Shemesh opened their houses and managed to have around forty people on these evenings, always a Saturday night. The concerts raise some money for the Etta Kossowsky Fund; however, the evident pleasure that this music, played in Etta's memory, gives to the audience every time, has become the main focus.
